Dear Mr. Charouk, It has been brought to my attention that you, in your role as General Manager of IBM Turkey, have personally threatened and intimidated trade union members at IBM Turkey. Your behaviour is unacceptable and a blatant breach of Turkish labour law and internationally recognized labour standards. Instead of harassing trade union members, I urge you to recognise UNI affiliate TEZ-KOOP-IS and begin collective bargaining with the union immediately. I am a member of UNI Global Union. UNI is committed to bringing your unacceptable conduct to the attention of the worldwide union community. I hope that you will end the anti-union campaign at IBM Turkey immediately and come to the bargaining table with the union in good faith. Yours sincerely
