OZPPaP Finance union signs two-year collective agreement in UniCredit Slovakia.
After ten months of negotiations, UNI Finance Slovak affiliate OZPPaP signed in UniCredit Slovakia a new Collective Agreement for the year 2017/2018. The abscence of a National Sectorial Agreement in Slovakia is one of the reasons for which the negotiation period lasted so long.
Jana Szaszova, the chief negotiator of OZPPaP in UniCredit in Slovakia, highlighted that the main achievement was the increase of the salaries for all the staff; in 2017 +1,5% and for 2018 +2,5% (the company had initially offered an increase of 0,5% for one year). This result benefited colleagues with the lowest salaries and also for the first time this increase is not related to the performance. Another important achievement for all the employees is the payment in 2017 of one-off bonus of 250€.
Jana, continued, that after long and tough negotiations, she is satisfied about what was achieved for all the workers of UniCredit in Slovakia. On behalf of all the employees of UniCredit Slovakia, she expresses her appreciation for the strong support received from UNI Finance and its affiliates particularly OSPPaP from Czech Republic.
Jana concluded that this new agreement undoubtedly shows the central role of Social Dialogue, and hopes that this experience can be repeated also at the National Sectorial level to protect all the banking employees in Slovakia.
