The tribunal of Nanterre declared illegal the practice to impose a quota of bad grades to managers. In fact, HP France managers were asked to have a 5% quota of bad marks (I) when evaluating the work of their subordinate. On top of that the company didn’t inform the works council or the staff representatives in a proper manner about this practice. For that, the court had condemned HP France to pay 5’000 Euros to the works council and 3’000 Euros to every trade union involved in the dispute. It is now up to the employees who have been wrongly evaluated to claim their compensation and the removal of their bad grade.
Please find attached the article issued by the French trade union with the court’s judgment (in French).
