The European Commission adopted a draft Directive on services in the internal market. This initiative aims to provide an overall legal framework for the free movement of services within the internal market.
The services covered include: business services, office maintenance and security services, advertising and recruitment services (including temporary agencies), real estate services, transport, distribution, travel agencies and tourism, audio-visual services, leisure services, sports services, health and domestic services, whether these are provided in close proximity or at a distance.
