Transnational cooperation of employees and trade union representatives in European works councils (EWCs) and in European companie’s works councils (SE-WC) is an important part of European trade union strategy and trade union movement.
EWCs and SE-WCs offer an additional structure for trade unioen action and alliances. They play an important role for the protection of worker’s rights and the introduction of dialogue and consultation in multinational companies.
