The European Court of Justice (ECJ) delivered decisions in four cases between 11 December 2007 and 19 June 2008: the Laval (Sweden), Rüffert (Germany), Viking (Finland) and Luxembourg cases.
At stake in these cases is fundamental collective and trade union rights and equal rights between workers. The rulings have far-reaching implications for trade unions and workers in the European Union.
We must campaign and act to counter the damaging social consequences that these rulings could have.
