Learn more about UNI-Africa
UNI-Africa is the regional organisation of Union Network International (UNI) which came into existence on 1st January 2000 after the merger of four global unions: the Federation of Commercial, Clerical, Professional and Technical Employees (FIET), the Communications International (CI), the International Graphical Federation (IGF) and the Media & Entertainment International (MEI).
UNI-Africa represents 655,485 members from 187 unions in 45 countries. We are part of the UNI global family which represents more than 15 million members from 1,000 affiliated unions in 140 countries around the world.
UNI is the largest international grouping of individual trade unions. It is a global union with strength in its layers. UNI is global, regional and sectoral - and it has key activities that span regions and sectors. It is a key part of an online network dedicated to giving members a bigger global voice and to helping their unions cooperate across national frontiers.
