Since many years EURO-MEI has been slowly but steadily developing worker representation in the sport sector. By bringing together representatives from the sector at various meetings, conferences and other occasions (e.g. through EU funded projects and in co-operation with the European Association of Sport Employers, EASE). EURO-MEI helps to establish a trade-union awareness in the sector. The widespread presence of sport in all it shapes and sizes and in all parts of society makes it a challenge to find unification and a common voice. Together with our affiliates we are working towards this goal, taking the shape of e.g European Social Dialogue in the European Union, and in doing so paving the way for "good sportsmanship" to become key not only during the games, but even more so around them.
